    OUR BUSINESS OFFICE IS HERE TO HELP WITH OUR CUSTOMERS NEEDS.

• The business office location: 12991 State Hwy 172,La Ward, TX 77970. 

• Office hours are from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The office is open during lunch for convenience. We are closed for major holidays, please call and inquire before coming to the office for service.

• A drop box is available for customers not able to make it during regular office hours.

• Customers not needing to come into the office are encouraged to mail in their pmts by the due date to keep excellent credit history.
  

• Quotes on our services are available from installation costs, to any Calling Feature such as Tone, Caller I.D.

• New customers will need to contact the business office to give information needed to set up new service.

• Contact your local E911 provider for your E911 address.

              For 893 - In Calhoun County call 552-5455.

La Ward Telephone offers the following for a small monthly fee:

• Caller I.D. with Name and Number
• Customized Toll Block
• Toll Block with Pin Overide
• Business & Residence Number Referral Service

In January,1998, the Maintenance Plus Plan went into effect for trouble/repair

calls. Call for more information or look in your local directory.

If features are chosen at the time new service is set up, then the one-time service charge will be waived. If a feature is chosen on an existing telephone number, there will be a one-time service charge applied for the activation of the feature.

EXPANDED LOCAL CALLING

In August all exchanges were balloted for toll-free calling to Blessing, Palacios, Point Comfort , and Port Lavaca, As a result of this balloting, you will be able to call toll free as follows:

• LAWARD (872)......Toll free to Blessing, Palacios, Point Comfort,  Port Lavaca.
  
• LOLITA (874)......Toll free to Point Comfort, Port Lavaca.
  
• PORT ALTO (893)...Toll free to Port Lavaca.

All residence customers will be charged $3.50* per month, and business customers will be charged $7.00* per month.           (* for each access line)

          THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR TOLL FREE DIALING WAS  JANUARY 8, 1997. 

Toll free calling areas due to other exchange balloting is as follows:

• LA WARD (872)......Toll free to Edna, Vanderbilt
• LOLITA (874)..........Toll free to Edna, Vanderbilt
• PT ALTO (893)........Toll free to Point Comfort




 

    LONG DISTANCE CARRIERS AND/OR CALLING PLANS

The promotion of Long Distance Carriers with Calling Plans have been introduced to customers by telephone or mail. We suggest you call La Ward Telephone to inquire if the office will facilitate the Carrier Identification Code (CIC) for the carrier you are interested in changing to.

We also suggest to the customer, if you come into our office and sign a carrier choice paper to call the carrier of your choice. If you do not, you will be charged a surcharge rate and higher price per call. They will not see you in their database and will consider you a casual user. You can find this information in your local telephone directory or you can call the business office at (361) 872-2211.
