PLANT DEPARTMENT

Call our Plant Department before you do any extensive digging
or construction on your property
or public lands. We will help in
avoiding the chance of cutting
telephone cables/lines before you dig.
INSTALLATION
- Our plant department consist of men with the
knowledge ranging from
- trenching in new cable, to installing detarriffed
equipment (keysystem,
- outside ringers, etc.).
- Our plant department needs to be notified in the
event customers are
- planning to do any digging. We would like to be able
to locate the cable
- to prevent damage or an outage of service.
- If new service is setup through the business office,
we will be able to complete
- the plant information and work as soon as possible.
- If a trouble is reported after business hours and is
an emergency, a repairman will be available to take the call.
Customers having a
selfowned device, phone, wiring, etc. need to check out that piece of equipment before
calling a trouble into the office. If a repairman comes out on that trouble and finds it
was the customers equipment, a service trip charge will be given to that customer. The
trip charge would be $10.50.
- Customers with the Maintenance Plus
Plan will be covered for repairs to all company installed Customer Premise Equipment
(inside-wiring, jacks, or wall to phone cords) for a small monthly fee of $2.50. Call the
office for more information.
PLANT RECORDS AND MAPS
- Customers that are moving into our area will need to
give an accurrate
- physical location of the premises they are moving
into. This helps when
- checking our records and maps to see if the location
has had previous
- service. If the location is brand new and needs to be
drawn onto our
- maps, we will then have the accurate location on the
service order.

- You will also need to call Golden Crescent Planning Commission
- to be assigned an E-911 address at (361) 578-1587 if in the Jackson
- County area.
